Welcome to Skokie-Washburne!
Go Hog Wild for Skokie-Washburne
5 ways to get involved
Feed the Pig - You're thinkin' corn, we're talkin' coin. Nickels, dimes, pennies, quarters. Any loose change lying around. During September, students will feed coins to piggy banks located in each advisory. Donations will be tracked weekly on a website and posted on a Pig Tally Board in the school front lobby. Kids will see which advisory is pig headed or hog wild! A fat pig is a happy pig, so we're counting on kids to Feed the Pig.
Go Hog Wild Pledges - Parents, we made it easy for you. A pen, a pledge card, and the privilege to help support our schools. Bring your checkbook to Back To School Night and make a generous donation and we'll hand you your very own "Snout" Lawn sign. Stick it in your front lawn so everyone knows you're never too old to Go Hog Wild!
Pigs on Parade - Advisories adopt a pig (fiberglass pigs, 'cause nobody likes a stinky classroom)! Kids get to name, decorate & create their very own fantasy pig "tale." Hoggy Potter, Baberham Lincoln, Lou Pignella ... you get the idea. Businesses will sponsor advisory pigs that will be on parade throughout Winnetka shops in October. Head Hogs (parent volunteers) will supervise the projects in classrooms.
All School Pig Out - Kids get to go hog wild parading their decorated pigs and pigging out during a special lunch in the new Washburne gym. It's PTO's way to say "thoinks" for participating!
Swine and Cheese Auction - A party you can't pass up! Parents and faculty talkin' hogwash at a nearby location on November 14. All advisory pigs will be on display and ready for purchase through a silent and live auction. Here's your chance to bring home the bacon!
